2010 KSTF TEACHING FELLOWSHIPS APPLICATIONS ARE NOW ONLINE

Fellowships Award Up to $150,000 For Up to Five Years to Outstanding Beginning
Teachers of High School Math and Science



Moorestown, NJ, October 19, 2009 — The Knowles Science Teaching Foundation (KSTF), which leads the way in preparing and supporting exceptional high school science and mathematics teachers, is now accepting applications for its coveted 2010 Teaching Fellowships. Online applications along with the eligibility and selection criteria are accessible through the newly redesigned KSTF website, the online destination for the latest KSTF news and information. The deadline for entries is 5pm EST on Wednesday, January 13, 2010.  Only online submissions will be considered.

The new KSTF website includes a wealth of information on KSTF Fellows who teach across 31 states and are influencing nearly 14,000 students nationwide in the 2009-2010 academic year.  The site also features interviews with KSTF’s founder, fellows and staff; a state-of-the-art media center;and information on KSTF conferences and publications.

"We are excited to share our new site with prospective applicants to allow them to fully explore all that KSTF has to offer in the field of science and mathematics education," said Dr. Angelo Collins, KSTF’s Executive Director.

Renewable for up to five years and valued at up to $150,000, the KSTF Teaching Fellowships offer financial support including tuition assistance, monthly stipends, teaching materials and leadership grants.  The high level of support and sense of community created by the Fellowships ensure teachers remain in the profession to become leaders in their fields.
